April, The Month You Will Take Root Downward And Bear Fruit Upward
The Fruits of the HOLY SPIRIT: TEMPERANCE
Scripture📖:Luke 21:29-35 NIV,
Thank GOD It’s Sunday!
As you go to church today may you bear more fruit upward in JESUS Name. Amen
Yesterday we spent our time on MEEKNESS as a fruit of the Spirit and we said,
AS YOUR ROOTS ARE DEEP IN JESUS AND HIS WORDS ABIDE IN YOU, HIS MEEKNESS IS IN YOU, SO BEAR THE FRUIT OF MEEKNESS UPWARD IN JESUS NAME.
Today we focus on the last fruit of the Spirit which is TEMPERANCE.
In relation to TEMPERANCE JESUS said in Luke 21:29-35 NIV;
29 He told them this parable: “Look at the fig tree and all the trees.
30 When they sprout leaves, you can see for yourselves and know that summer is near.
31 Even so, when you see these things happening, you know that the kingdom of God is near.
32 “Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.
33 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
34 “Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you suddenly like a trap.
35 For it will come on all those who live on the face of the whole earth.
We cannot avoid the weighing down of carousing, drunkness and the anxieties of life without TEMPERANCE.
The word TEMPERANCE is translated from the Greek word egkrateia which means self-control (the virtue of one who masters his desires and passions, especially his sensual appetites).
JESUS WAS THE EMBODIMENT OF TEMPERANCE.
The Bible says in Hebrews 4:15 NIV,
15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.
AS YOUR ROOTS ARE DEEP IN JESUS AND HIS WORDS ABIDE IN YOU, HIS TEMPERANCE IS IN YOU, SO BEAR THE FRUIT OF TEMPERANCE UPWARD IN JESUS NAME.
GOD willing we will continue tomorrow.

AS YOUR ROOTS ARE DEEP IN JESUS AND HIS WORDS ABIDE IN YOU, HIS TEMPERANCE IS IN YOU, SO BEAR THE FRUIT OF TEMPERANCE UPWARD IN JESUS NAME.
Prayer🙏 FATHER, grant me the grace to bear the fruit of TEMPERANCE so I will not sin in JESUS Name. Amen
