DEATH☠️ is dead
Scripture📖: Ephesians 4:5-10, Revelation 1:17b-18

Thank GOD Its Holy Saturday!
It is FINISHED JESUS said as HE died on Good Friday and indeed it was finished that day once and for all.
I am sure the devil anticipated GOD would react at the death of HIS only begotten Son. After all JESUS was sinless, He did not deserve to die and be mistreated by the very creatures HE could destroy by snapping HIS fingers.
But in order to destroy the schemes of the devil the FATHER HAD TO WATCH HIS SON SUFFER AT THE HANDS OF MAN USED BY THE DEVIL.
So when the sky darkened and the earth quaked it would not be too shocking to the devil.
Then as we saw yesterday those who the devil held captive all this while had been set free from the clutches of death. I believe the devil began to tremble but things were about to get much much worse for him.
In the Apostles Creed recited in many orthodox churches it says that JESUS “descended into hell” which theologically we call Hades. He the devil had held dead saints of old captive there. Following his death for sin, JESUS journeys to Hades, to the City of Death, and rips its gates off the hinges.
In today’s first scripture Paul says to the Ephesians,
➡One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the LOWER parts of the earth? He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)⬅
The word lower in verse 9 is translated from the Greek word kateteros which has its origin from the katerero which means of Hades.
So in todays second scripture (Rev 1:18) Jesus takes over the keys to death and Hell(which is translated from the Greek word hades) forever taking the authority of the devil to exercise his power in this domain without control.
Death and hell were no longer under satan’s control and at this point the final nail was nailed into death’s💀coffin.

💭Thought of the day
The key to death and hell are in the safe custody of JESUS. With JESUS in charge of your life death and hell have no power over you.

Prayer 🙏 I am in awe of YOU JESUS for all YOU did today thousands of years ago. Thank you JESUS for taking custody of the keys to death and hades.
I now have authority over them through YOU. Amen
