SEPTEMBER, The Month Of Your NEWNESS
For Your NEWNESS Practice Makes Your Gift Perfect
Scripture📖: 1Samuel 17:32-37 NLT

Thank GOD It’s Wednesday!
Today’s devotional is in memory of Rev. Francis Amonoo McCarthy, who was like a brother to me in life and ministry, and who has been ushered into the ultimate NEWNESS with the LORD in paradise. REST WELL BRO. YOU DO ALL IN JESUS NAME.
Yesterday I ended by saying,
Be encouraged to use that gift GOD has given you and when the HOLY SPIRIT directs you perfect that gift in line with HIS plan for your NEWNESS. It will create ROOM for you.
Today we want to build on that.
You must have heard the saying that “practice makes perfect.” This means doing something again and again is the best way to become perfect or proficient in it.
David was a shepherd boy but GOD had given him the gift of courage, music and of using the sling.
He practiced the exercising of his courage by killing a delivering lambs out of a bear and lion respectively in the wilderness.
In 1Samuel 17:32-37 NLT told King Saul confidently,
➡32 “Don’t worry about this Philistine,” David told Saul. “I’ll go fight him!”
33 “Don’t be ridiculous!” Saul replied. “There’s no way you can fight this Philistine and possibly win! You’re only a boy, and he’s been a man of war since his youth.”
34 But David persisted. “I have been taking care of my father’s sheep and goats,” he said. “When a lion or a bear comes to steal a lamb from the flock,
35 I go after it with a club and rescue the lamb from its mouth. If the animal turns on me, I catch it by the jaw and club it to death.
36 I have done this to both lions and bears, and I’ll do it to this pagan Philistine, too, for he has defied the armies of the living God!
37 The Lord who rescued me from the claws of the lion and the bear will rescue me from this Philistine!”⬅
In the same place he practiced his harp playing and song writing resulting in many of the Psalms in the bible. It is also believed that it is the wildnerness that David perfected his gift of using the sling as a weapon.
As you know this led to the killing of Goliath, the defeat of the Philistines and DAVID was ushered into NEWNESS.
GOD will lead you as you practice so your confidence to use your gift is built on HIM not on flesh.
Learning you have a gift and practicing it leads to its perfection. These are like lengthening your cords and strengthening your stakes in readiness for your impending NEWNESS.
GOD willing we will continue tomorrow in JESUS Name. Amen
