Scripture📖:Joshua 6:27 NKJV, Joshua 7:2‭-‬5 NKJV

Thank God It’s Monday!
Yesterday we said,
RENEW YOUR MINDSET. Always inquire of HOLY SPIRIT first as you WALK with Him.
Today I want to show you what happens when you don’t inquire of the Lord as you walk with Him.
I learnt this lesson the hard way several times in my life when I inquired of some good people who meant well and loved me instead of the HOLY SPIRIT.
I have a mate in the Bible called Joshua the Son of Nun who went through the same thing.
Joshua had a special relationship with God and he walked with Him much like Moses did.
After the wall of Jericho fell the Bible says in Joshua 6:27 NKJV,,
➡So the Lord was with Joshua, and his fame spread throughout all the country.⬅
But after that Joshua made the biggest mistake in his shining ministry.

The Bible says in Joshua 7:2‭-‬5 NKJV,
➡Now Joshua sent men from Jericho to Ai, which is beside Beth Aven, on the east side of Bethel, and spoke to them, saying, “Go up and spy out the country.” So the men went up and spied out Ai.
AND THEY RETURNED TO JOSHUA AND SAID TO HIM,
“DO NOT LET ALL THE PEOPLE GO UP, BUT LET ABOUT TWO OR THREE THOUSAND MEN GO UP AND ATTACK AI. DO NOT WEARY ALL THE PEOPLE THERE, FOR THE PEOPLE OF Ai ARE FEW.”
So about three thousand men went up there from the people, but they fled before the men of Ai. And the men of Ai struck down about thirty-six men, for they chased them from before the gate as far as Shebarim, and struck them down on the descent; therefore the hearts of the people melted and became like water.⬅
Joshua listened to the “WISE” counsel of his trusted spy’s rather than inquire of the HOLY SPIRIT who knows all things and who he had listened to many times before. It ended in failure and an embarrassing defeat.
Had Joshua inquired of the LORD, HE would have told Joshua about Achan and shown him how to deal with him before the battle.
Excuse me when I say this and I have been guilty of this myself but sometimes we foolishly inquire of people who mean well but know nothing or far less than what the HOLY SPIRIT knows about you which is EVERYTHING.
The end is failure, defeat, embarrassment, shame, disaster and much pain.
When ever you do that the devil has you exactly where he wants you and this has even led to some saints leaving the faith.
Do yourself a favor and inquire of the HOLY SPIRIT every single time.
GOD willing we will continue tomorrow in JESUS Name.

Prayer 🙏 HOLY SPIRIT, I have caused myself pain by not inquiring of you always. Forgive me. I choose to correct this now in the name of JESUS. Amen.
