Do The Good Deeds Of David Part 2
Scripture📖:II Samuel 6:12‭-‬17‭, 20‭-‬22 NKJV

Thank God Its Tuesday!
God is in control and you will dominate today too in Jesus name. Your enemies will drown in discouragement because of you.
Yesterday we came to the point where we said,
You will have to do what David did in order to warrant such a blessing.
From yesterday we saw how David gave thanks to God ahead of the take off of the everlasting covenant.
David was a habitual ‘THANKSGIVER’.
We must also learn to do this.

Today we look at another of David’s deeds that helped make David a beneficiary of SURE MERCIES.
He knew how to worship his MAKER.
David was a very passionate worshipper.
He saw himself as nothing before God and God as everything.
In today’s scripture my Bible says,
v12-17 Now it was told King David, saying, “The Lord has blessed the house of Obed-Edom and all that belongs to him, because of the ark of God.” So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obed-Edom to the City of David with gladness. And so it was, when those bearing the ark of the Lord had gone six paces, that he sacrificed oxen and fatted sheep. Then David danced before the Lord with all his might; and David was wearing a linen ephod. So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the Lord with shouting and with the sound of the trumpet. Now as the ark of the Lord came into the City of David, Michal, Saul’s daughter, looked through a window and saw King David leaping and whirling before the Lord ; and she despised him in her heart. So they brought the ark of the Lord , and set it in its place in the midst of the tabernacle that David had erected for it. Then David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the Lord . ◀
▶v20-22 Then David returned to bless his household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, “How glorious was the king of Israel today, uncovering himself today in the eyes of the maids of his servants, as one of the base fellows shamelessly uncovers himself!” So David said to Michal, “ It was before the Lord , who chose me instead of your father and all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the Lord , over Israel. Therefore I will play music before the Lord . And I will be even more undignified than this, and will be humble in my own sight. But as for the maidservants of whom you have spoken, by them I will be held in honor.”◀
This happened in the chapter 6 immediately before the chapter in which God made the everlasting covenant with David.
We live in times where undignified worship has virtually become a taboo.
Those who dare to worship in this way are seen as a nuisance and emotional. Sometimes ushers are even ordered to take them away like they are an embarrassment.
Many Christians cannot kneel or lie prostrate before God in worship.
Well my dear child of God as a direct result of David’s genuine UNDIGNIFIED worship from his heart God made an Everlasting Covenant of SURE MERCIES with him.
You must be prepared to do the same.
God willing we will continue tomorrow in Jesus name.

💭Thought of the day
You must be prepared to genuinely worship God from your heart with David-like passion.

Prayer🙏 FATHER, may my genuine undignified worship be acceptable in your sight for YOUR Sure Mercies to be my portion in Jesus name. Amen
