Name Change II
Scripture📖: Matthew 16:15-19
Thank GOD Its Sunday!
Decree this out loud before you set out today in JESUS Name,
I decree my life is shielded under the power of the almighty, my destiny is overflowing with divine ability, in JESUS’ Name. Amen.
Yesterday we talked about name change. When GOD changes your name/identity HE gives you your designated name.
So Jacob became Israel because GOD called him so.
Name Change is not restricted to the Old Testament.
In the New Testament Name Changes also take place.
In Matt 16:15-18 JESUS has an encounter with Simon bar Jona which means Simon son of Jona. Simon was the name given to him by his parents. After doing months and years of ministry with Jesus, He asks Simon who do you say that I am?
Simon answers “You are the Christ, the Son of the living GOD.”
Then Jesus says in Matt 16:18-19
➡️18 I tell you that you are Peter, and it is on this rock that I will build my congregation, and the powers of hell will not conquer it.
19 I will give you the keys to the kingdom from heaven. Whatever you prohibit on earth will have been prohibited in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will have been permitted in heaven.”⬅️
WHEN JESUS CHANGES YOUR NAME HE GIVES YOU YOUR PURPOSE THAT FASHIONS OUT YOUR DESTINY.
This name change is linked to your identification of JESUS as the Son of God.
YOU WILL NEVER FIND YOUR TRUE PURPOSE OR LIVE OUT YOUR DESTINY WITHOUT IDENTIFYING JESUS FOR WHO HE IS.

Prayer🙏 FATHER, help me to identify JESUS as the Son of the living GOD and the Lord of my life, so that my purpose will be clear and my destiny will not be aborted. In JESUS Name. Amen.
