What Is Needed For Your Fire🔥To Burn?
Scripture📖: Luke 3:22 NIV
Thank GOD It’s Saturday!
Yesterday we ended by saying,
Stay in HIS presence, meditate on HIS Word day and night and breath in the air of the HOLY SPIRIT.
Your FIRE🔥will NEVER go out. You have no excuse if it does.
As we saw yesterday the first need for FIRE to burn is ignition 💥.
One of the keys for ignition💥 is to get close to ignition source🔥 or let the ignition source🔥 get close to you.
You can’t light a gas stove from 10 meters or even 1meter away.
In today’s context I am not talking about positional distance when I mention closeness since the HOLY SPIRIT lives in us.
In today’s context when I say closeness I am talking about relationship.
The closer you are to the Holy Spirit relationship wise the greater your ignition💥.
Today we will begin to look at how to get close to the HOLY SPIRIT by studying His nature.
In the gospels the first place the HOLY SPIRIT is mentioned in relation to JESUS CHRIST is when He was baptised by John the baptist.
The Bible says in Luke 3:22 NIV:
➡….and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a DOVE🕊. And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.”⬅
One of symbols of the HOLY SPIRIT is a dove🕊.
The dove is a bird that has the following characteristics which are imputed to the HOLY SPIRIT as well:
▪️They are attractive
▪️They are quiet and unobtrusive, with a calming, gentle voice
▪️They are active but not overly demanding
▪️They require very little maintenance In fact because of these characteristics doves make popular pets when it comes to birds.
Let me not overload you with too much today but think deeply on the characteristics of the dove🕊 in relation to the HOLY SPIRIT.
We will expand on this GOD willing tomorrow.
