You Too Are A god Pt. 2
Scripture📖: Psalm 82:6, John 10:34-35
Thank God It’s Tuesday!
Yesterday we said,
We are gods; and all of us are children of the most High.
It sounds like blasphemy I know. Even the Pharisees thought so and were about to stone JESUS for what he said.
I also believe you would feel uncomfortable saying the words “I am a god”. Well uncomfortable or not the bible says you are, so you are.
Today lets go deeper so we can become comfortable with our identity.
In Psa 82:6 the word ‘gods’ is translated from the Hebrew word Elohim which in the plural means rulers, judges, divine ones, gods. It is in the singular form that it means the one True GOD.
In John 10:34-35 when JESUS said it the word ‘gods’ was translated from the Greek word Theos which means a god or goddess, a general name for deities or divinities and also means the Godhead or Trinity.
So we can also say,
We are elohim or we are theos. Wow!
Now you will realise why it is possible for a human(a pastor, sport or entertainment or political personality etc.) to be “worshipped”. Of course it is wrong how people worship celebrities and sports personalities and even men of GOD forgetting that they too are gods. In so doing they make their object of worship into an idol.
Another thing we must realise is that angels are not gods.
GOD said ” Let us make man….” (not angels) in our image and likeness.
This means that in CHRIST the former archangel in heaven, satan, who is our arch enemy is way below us.
This is why we are Joint Heirs with CHRIST and Children of the most High.
This is why satan hates you with a passion. He is envious of the authority GOD had given in CHRIST.
IT IS TIME TO WALK IN THE AUTHORITY OF YOUR TRUE IDENTITY.
We are elohim!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GOD willing we will continue tomorrow in JESUS Name.
