Do not put on a “new” second-hand self
Scripture📖: Proverbs 10:22 CEV
Thank GOD It’s Wednesday!
Yesterday we concluded by saying,
Put on the NEW mindset to handle your NEW IDEA for your glory and GOD’s GLORY.
Today I will start with some advice.
➡️DO NOT PUT ON A “new” SECOND-HAND SELF!
Society has been encouraged away from New things to ‘cheap’, old, recycled, used and dead things in a bid to prevent the GLORY of GOD and your GLORY from being seen.
This agenda has even succeeded in subtly leading the very elect (Christians, children of GOD) to choose and pray for old, recycled, used and dead things. In so doing Christians conform to the world’s way of thinking.
With many Christians now a days its about buying second hand/used cars, second hand/used electronic gadgets, second hand/used clothing etc. Sometimes we even find children of GOD who ordinarily would be able to afford brand new things flocking to second hand markets under the guise of getting excellent bargains or spending wisely.
This has created business avenues for many and this has perpetuated the situation to the point where the annual income in used goods globally is in the trillions of dollars.The irony about this is that those who make money out of this often do not patronise used goods themselves.
In the medical field, the market for transplant organs is huge.
Do you know that these organs are “used” and they are mostly taken from dead people? For example a transplanted heart has a lifespan of about 10 to 15 years, then one will need another transplant. And yet medical science prides itself in saying they are prolonging life when ELOHIM can give you a NEW one for free.
How would you feel if you asked GOD(the creator of heaven and earth and all that is in it, who owns everything, can do anything and everything) for a NEW thing and HE tells you, “you know what I got this used item so take it?”
He wants us to have everything brand NEW and yet we choose, strive, pray and fast for that which is sub-standard. This is because we cannot or will not believe He can give us what is NEW. Since HE has given us free will HE allows us to have what we want or what we believe for. ➡️BUT IT GRIEVES HIM.
HE knows that the used thing will not bring you joy that will glorify HIM and neither will it bring you GLORY. He knows that any satisfaction you will receive will be short-lived.
In Proverbs 10:22 CEV wise King Solomon wrote,
➡When the Lord blesses you with riches, you have nothing to regret.⬅
In other words when God satisfies you with good new things, NO REGRETS.
A “new” second – hand mindset will push any NEW IDEA away or re-model it to fit a second-hand mindset. This will not bring you or GOD GLORY.
DO NOT PUT ON A “new” SECOND-HAND SELF!
GOD willing we will continue tomorrow in JESUS Name.

Prayer🙏 FATHER, help me in my pursuit of GLORY to never put on a second-hand self so that the NEW IDEA you give me will bring GLORY to YOU. In JESUS Name do I pray. Amen
