Quench Not The SPIRIT🕊
Scripture📖: Acts 2:1-4, 1 Thessalonians 5:19
Thank God It’s Monday!
I want first of all thank you for your kind birthday wishes, prayers and gifts yesterday. I really felt the Love from you all. God Bless You All.
Yesterday we celebrated the day of Pentecost and we said,
As you benefit from the utilisation of the power of the HOLY SPIRIT made possible by PENTECOST🔥🔥🔥 you will receive resources and YOU WILL LACK NOTHING.
Today is the day after and it is important that we keep the Pentecostal Fire🔥 burning.
On the day of Pentecost tongues of fire settled on the heads of those gathered in the upper room and they were filled with the HOLY SPIRIT as is found in Acts 2:1-4.
The thing with fire is that in order for it to continue to burn it requires a constant supply of fuel and air. If any of these is unavailable the fire will go out.
As you know the life blood of any relationship is communication and we communicate with GOD by way of prayer in the Spirit and all other kinds of prayer. When communication ceases the fire goes out and the relationship dies.
In 1 Thessalonians 5:19 Paul cautions us by saying,
➡Quench not the Spirit. ⬅
The word quench is translated from the Greek word sbennumi which means to put out but it also means to suppress or to stifle.
IF YOU SUPPRESS THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN YOU THE FIRE WILL GO OUT AND OUR HELP WILL CEASE.
DO NOT QUENCH THE HOLY SPIRIT KEEP THE FIRE BURNING.
I hereby encourage you to continue with your daily self-heating by praying in the Spirit from 3:30am to 4:30am at least. Maintain the connection with HIM.
GOD willing we will continue tomorrow in JESUS Name.
💭Thought of the day
QUENCH NOT THE SPIRIT! Do not suppress or stifle the HOLY SPIRIT in your life.
Prayer🙏 FATHER, help me never to quench the HOLY SPIRIT in my life.
