Be Ready To ReNEW Your Mindset Constantly
Scripture📖: Romans 12:2 NKJV
Thank GOD Its Sunday!
Today is the last Sunday of August. May your day in church be spectacularly GLORIOUS in JESUS Name.
Yesterday we said,
God will not force NEW THINGS on you with an old mindset.
We also shared that the word renewing in Romans 12:2 NKJV is translated from the Greek word anakainosis.
Anakainosis describes a continuous process of reNEWal rather than a single act of renewal for life.
What does this mean? Lets go to the Bible.
In the Bible there are many examples that required a reNEWal of mindset:
▪In the Old Testament adherence to rules, regulations, laws and commandments required a certain mindset.
▪Getting rid of a slavery mindset required a whole NEW generation with a different mindset.
▪Hundreds of years later the mindset had to change from the legalistic dispensation of the Law(Old Testament) to the merciful dispensation of Grace(New Testament) through JESUS CHRIST.
▪Accepting JESUS CHRIST as the SON of GOD needed a reNEWed mindset(the Pharisees, Sadducees could not do this and up to today the orthodox Jews still can’t. In fact they are still waiting for the Messiah ).
▪The coming of the HOLY SPIRIT freely for all and understanding HIS workings required a reNEWed Mindset. The apostle Paul helped in no small way to bring this about through his teachings.
You will begin to realise that in the Bible anytime a change took place a NEW Mindset had to be obtained to benefit from the change.
CHANGE REQUIRES THE RENEWING OF ONES MIND. TO BENEFIT FROM CHANGE YOUR MINDSET MUST CHANGE.
YOUR EVER INCREASING GLORY REQUIRES THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND. NEW GLORY NEEDS NEW MINDSET, EVERY SINGLE TIME.
Let this simmer in your spirit and GOD willing we will continue tomorrow in JESUS NAME.
